Why should I choose Music Lesson Central
?
At Music Lesson Central, we provide high quality music education. All of our teachers are accepted to our faculty based on their dedication to teaching, experience and educational background. We work with your specifications (i.e., male or female teacher) to send you the teacher that best fits you or your child’s needs. Unlike other lesson providers, Music Lesson Central brings music lessons right into your home at times that are convenient for you!

How do I schedule lessons?
Send us an email, or use our contact form. We will respond to your inquiry promptly. During our first phone call, we’ll discuss the instrument to study, the experience of the student (i.e. beginner, etc.), avaliable lesson schedule, and other specifications so we can choose a teacher that best suits your needs. We will then match you with a teacher who will contact you to set up an introductory lesson. You can usually have a lesson scheduled within 7 days!

If we can't reach you, we will leave a voice message and have a teacher follow up to schedule a first lesson/

How does the introductory lesson work?
The first introductory lesson is FREE for children upon continuation on a weekly basis. This lesson is 30 minutes in length. The lesson gives you the opportunity to meet with the teacher and discuss any questions you might have. After your introductory lesson, you can schedule the next lesson with the teacher.

How long are the lessons?
Lessons are available in 30, 45, and 60 minute sessions. 30 minute lessons are suitable for younger and/or beginner children while 45 and 60 minute lessons are appropriate for older children and adults. Lessons are given once a week. If additional lessons during the week are desired, please speak with your teacher.

Is the lesson always on the same day?
In terms of scheduling for our teachers, the lesson time and day should be kept consistent. If you have to change the day on an occasion, please consult with your teacher.

What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24 hour lesson cancellation policy. If you inform the teacher at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson, you will not be charged for that lesson. You will be charged if you cancel less than 24 hours before the lesson.

What about Holidays, bad weather, or illness?
. If the student is ill, the 24 hour cancellation policy applies. Lessons can be scheduled around holiday and vacation breaks. Speak with the teacher in advance to schedule lessons around vacations and holidays.

How much do lessons cost?
Our rates are reasonably priced with the added bonus of our teachers traveling to you! To inquire about current rates please send an
d email.

How are lessons paid for?
After the introductory lesson, you will notify your teacher to continue with lessons. You will then be invoiced online at the end of each month for those month's lessons. Students can pay online and invoices are due on receipt. No exceptions.

What is the lesson termination policy?
Students may cancel their lessons at anytime by calling the office at the toll free number. As a courtesy to the teacher, we ask that you give at least a two week notice. Purchased packages are non-refundable. The lesson package is refunded only if the teacher stops the lessons.

What if I don’t want lessons in my home?
You also have the option of traveling to a teacher’s studio to take your lessons. Same billing rates apply.

What are some things to do to make music lessons run easily?
The best thing that students can do to contribute to the ease of lessons is to practice! Make sure you are familiar with the tasks that the teacher wants you to accomplish each week and come prepared to each lesson.

Being prepared for a lesson also means having a designated area in your home where the music lesson will take place. Have chairs, music stand and instrument ready to go before your teacher arrives.

If you are a parent of a child who takes lessons, we ask that you or another adult be present for the duration of the lesson. An adult 's presence is important for supervision and continuity during practice between lessons.

What if I don’t have an instrument or need supplies to get started?

Piano students are required to have a piano/keyboard in their home for lessons and practicing purposes. Voice students are also recommended to have a piano/keyboard. For information on pianos, keyboards, and other instruments, feel free to consult your teacher or call the office for purchasing advice and information on appropriate instruments for different skill levels.
